Euroflex constantly rise to the challenge of New Film Concept's with intensive R&D and considerable capital investment.
The Euroflex Printing System encompasses the Flexography Process - We laminate/slit & develop both printed and unprinted multi-layered structures. The Euroflex capabilities also include the production of printed/plain high barrier vacuum pouches - all produced within our purpose built facility - which is fully compliant with the BRC/HACCP industrial Standard.
Through our comprehensive R&D program we have established "best manufacturing practice" and carry rigorous analysis to ensure high industry standard measurements are met. In a continuous goal to improve the quality & further development of our finished products we have invested a significant amount of capital within our R&D Programme. Through this programme we have acquired industry standard test & development equipment. As a result Euroflex continue to develop the capabilities to adapt various new & innovative Film Structures to the 'Customer Specific' requirement.
Testing & R&D Procedures Include:
- Solvent measurements and values (Gas Chromatography utilized to determine solvent retention in finished print)
- Adhesive grammage measurements
- Bond strength tests and measurements (de-lamination measurements)
- Slip tests and measurements (To determine both Kinetic and Static friction)
- Puncture resistance and values
- Testing to determine both longitudinal and transverse resistance to tear. (torsional resistance of the printed web Newtons ) x-rite Spectrometer (Delta E readings, colour prediction)
- IQC testing (procedure to ensure consistency throughout the print run)
- BCL Heat Seal tests (To determine heat resistance of printed material)
- Stroboscopy (facilities accurate register through print run)
- Automatic viscometers are installed on our printing press to ensure accurate control of viscosity of printing ink throughout the print run
- Web guides installed on all production systems to ensure perfect register and minimize telescoping in finished production reel·
Euroflex conduct extensive research into materials, products and technologies to develop packaging innovations across multiple sectors, including Fresh Food, Dried Food & Household products.
In order to enhance Product Development we constantly produce prototypes and trial packaging for the customer ‘Specific Requirement’
